Personal Writing Showcase:

This showcase displays pieces of writing that I have created in my undergraduate career through the course English 413 Critical Questions of Language & Composition. This course's focus was to get pre-service teachers looking at the types of writing they create, and to have them reflect on the conventions of their writing and how they might teach these conventions to their future students. Through this class, I developed several polished pieces of writing that reflect my feelings towards education and classroom instruction.

Online Journal Editor:

During my senior year at Michigan State, I became involved in creating the online journal: "Journal of Secondary English Education: Preservice" (JSEEP) for the College of Arts and Letters. Working with two of my Teacher's Education peers, we collaborated with our mentor professor Ellen Cushman to design an online journal that united placement observations with college theory. My role in JSEEP was a start-up editor: I reviewed and revised students' work in preparation for publication and aided in the design and functionality of the online website. Please follow the link to JSEEP to find out more about the types of writing students at Michigan State are constructing about English education!
